Theme for December 3 - Cultural Revolution of China : Yesterday and Today

Dear Night Visioners,

Again, I’ll introduce this important piece of history that had a massive impact on China, from the past into present. I will share what my parents experienced, what I witnessed as a generation born in the middle of that 10 years, and how the younger generation interpret it nowadays.

I will invite Ying, my fellow Chinese, to dig up her memories about that experience. I will also invite Selma and Sinisa, my fellow socialism comrades, to share their unique or common experiences of their countries.

There will be actual pieces of what people wore from that time, collected by my parents. There will be copies of posters and slogans that once appeared all over streets and alleys in China. There will be pictures from the past and present to show you the difference in how the same piece of history looks like in different times.
