An “aha! moment” is a moment in your life when the solution to a problem, when the answer to a question, or when a new realization comes to you. It’s called an “aha! moment” because, as it happens, one might actually shout out “a-ha!”

These moments may happen at any time - after a talk with someone, during a trip somewhere, as you overcome an illness, from growing older, after having a child, from a loss, after winning something etc…

In 2004, researchers from Northwestern University looked at what happens in our brains when such moments occur. They discovered that a split second before a person experiences an “aha! moment” that there is a burst of electrical brain activity that occurs in our brain - very much like a light bulb going off in our brain.

This Thursday we will talk about “aha! moments”: ones you have personally experienced or heard about, as well as, what you know and think about these moments.

See you Thursday!
