You might be wondering what the theme is… I changed my mind about 4 times.  But, I’m back to my first choice:  the Salem Witch Trials of 1692 in Salem, Massachusetts, USA.  If you’re wondering why this cheerful topic… it’s because the idea, psychologically, of neighbors accusing neighbors of a crime punishable by hanging, and those accusations increasing exponentially after the first successful hanging, is terrible, but interesting. And if you think it was only women being accused, think again.  Men were hanged for being witches, too.  That’s also terrible, but interesting.

I’m not writing anything clever about the theme like you all do… I’ll save that for the meeting intro - I’ll make it a surprise :-)  I read the trial manuscripts, the articles, the bios, everything… but, I’ll keep my intro brief.  Well, relatively brief…  just trust me… this is going to be shocking!!

See you Thursday!

Cheers,
Lori
