Theme for April 23 - Vacation destinations

Fellow Night Visioners,
It’s been a long, cold winter by Vancouver standards, and I’m in the mood for some summertime dreaming… er, I mean planning. I do this every year — think of places that I’d like to go to — and sometimes even go there. :-) But it can be just as much fun thinking of where to go as actually going.
We heard last week that Jenny likes beaches, and that Marian doesn’t. So what do you like? What is your dream summer vacation, or a real one you’ve had recently and enjoyed? Or maybe just a plug for somewhere else in the world that you have ties to? It’s all good! 
Personally, I’ve seen a fair bit of North America and Europe, and a few islands in the Caribbean, but I’ve never been to Thailand. Have you? I’m told now is not a good time (politically) to visit, but it is a fascinating country. Or to Japan - always expensive, but so much to see! Or to…
