Theme for January 29 - Favourite Time Wasters

We’ve got a great meeting planned this week, including a guest speech by an international speech contest division champion!
The theme for this week’s meeting is Favourite Time Wasters. I for one am a terrible procrastinator, and I have found that for me the worst (or best?) time waster is television. It’s amazing how I’m able to find one excuse after another, and sit in front of that idiot box. How about you? What do you do? Read trashy novels / play video games / talk on the phone / nap?
Everyone! Please send me a brief intro (1-2 sentences) about your favourite time wasters. I will read that intro before your role, as a way of introducing you. For example: “Next, we have Jenny as Speech Evaluator. Jenny says that she likes to… Please welcome Jenny.”
We have two speeches (so far) — one by our very own Garrett Buckley, and the other by our guest speaker Barry Monaghan. Barry is a member of two clubs — Politically Speaking and Advanced Aurators — and is VP-PR at both. He’s been a Toastmaster for 15 years, and has reached the level of Distinguished Toastmaster — that means he’s finished his Competent Communicator, as well as his Advanced Communicator Bronze, Silver, and Gold. And, Barry placed first at last year’s Division B International Speech Contest!
