Dear All Nightvisioners,

Obviously, you haven’t had enough of me at the last meeting. So here I am again, to bake you another big turkey.

Toastmaster club activities might mean different things to each individual member. A club can play some combined roles in one’s life: social gatherings that one meets new people and make new friends, a place enables one to overcome public speaking fear and become an excellent presenter or even professional speaker, a place to practice your sales pitch and get valuable feedbacks before you step onto a real stage in front of your potential clients…

I bet there are a lot more than those mentioned above. But one thing I can share with you is that my perspective about TM has changed completely after joining the club. From a level of Unconscious Imcompetence to Conscious Imcompetence, from masked arrogance to sincere humbleness, I have been through a huge shift in my mind. Therefore, I’d like to share with you all the good surprises I’ve got from Toastmaster in the coming meeting.

The beginning of communication is the theme of Feb 28th meeting. There are a lot of roles already been signed up, but we still need a general evalutor (Tracy L, I wish you can do it), a toastmaster (we might have a guest speaker to give us a 2nd place area contest award winning humorous speech), and this person, is deserved to have an speech evaluator too.

Thanks for participating, everyone! If you’d like to send an intro, please mention what you believe is the most important element in effective communication.

Cheers,
Jenny
