Hi NightVisioners,

Are we bored of following routine at our weekly meeting ALL THE TIME? Same order, same greetings, and same applause (well, clapping becomes a reflex already, so that doesn’t bother me much). How about something new this time?

Let’s turn the house upside down!!!

Here is how we are going to have our meeting this week.

Meeting order:
SAA introduce -> General Evaluator-> Timer ->Grammarian -> Hark Master -> Toastmaster - > Prepared speech if any -> Prepared speech evaluation -> Intermission -> Table topic master -> Table topic evaluator -> Best table topic speaker -> Hark master -> Timer report -> Grammarian report -> Chair-> guest comments.

General Evaluator will be the most important person of the meeting this time: Being the first role and start the meeting. Yes, she/he have to evaluate all the meeting roles while have nothing and nobody to evaluate. You will have to imagine and make up something that person would be doing, both worth encouraging and would have done better. All meeting roles have to take notes from what he/she says, as that will be the guideline of your meeting role performance, no matter how ridiculous it could be.

Tips for making up the evaluation include: choose general category in speech delivery to comment: ie. Vocal variety, hand gesture, posture, eye contact, use of pause, etc.

All meeting roles have to act as per the evaluation they get at the beginning of the meeting, for both compliments and flaws.

The purpose of this meeting is to review and enhance the delivery skills in a crazy way. At the end of the day, what are we here for?

FOR FUN! Aren’t we?

No meeting intro is required this time, but please sign up meeting roles, fellow toastmasters! If you have confusion or questions, please feel free to contact me through email or phone.

Cheers,
Jenny
