Hi all,

I’m sure everyone has a good restaurant anecdote to share. Perhaps it is an embarrassing moment in a restaurant, or a pet peeve when it comes to service (personally, I hate it when I am the only one ordering dessert, and the waiter volunteers on my behalf to share my dessert by bringing enough forks for everyone).

Do you have a favourite restaurant and why? Or can you think of a restaurant that was so awful that you would never, never eat there again? Maybe you’ve worked in a restaurant and have some stories about that.

There are still numerous roles to be filled. The advantage of signing up early is that you get the role you want, instead of being pressured later to take a role you’d rather not do!! I encourage newer members to take a role you haven’t done before; this helps you become more comfortable speaking to the group, and when you do finally do a prepared speech, it doesn’t seem so bad.  The best way to practice is to take a role you may not be comfortable with, and don’t worry about being perfect - your fellow toastmasters are here to offer encouragement and support!!!

This promises to be a fun evening. Everyone likes restaurants!! Come share your restaurant stories, both good and bad!!

Once you’ve signed up for a role, please send me your intros….no specific question this time, just tell us something brief (1-2 sentences) about your restaurant experiences.

Thanks,

Tracy
